英語(yǔ)詞典對(duì)它的解釋是:a lack of agreement between facts, opinions, actions, etc,僅就這個(gè)解釋來(lái)看,它強(qiáng)調(diào)的是lack of agreement,即強(qiáng)調(diào)意見不一致,從而因此產(chǎn)生矛盾或?qū)αⅰ?/SPAN>
■Conflict指兩種思想、信仰、說(shuō)法等“相沖突”或“相抵觸”,《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》(第6版)的解釋是:if two ideas, beliefs, stories, etc. conflict, it is not possible for them to exist together or for them both to be true。
Contradict指陳述或證據(jù)“相抵觸”或“相矛盾”,《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》(第6版)的解釋是:(of statements or pieces of evidence) to be so different from each other that one of them must be wrong。
The statements of the two witnesses conflict.
Their account of events conflicts with ours.
The two statements contradict each other.
The report contradicts what we heard yesterday.
