I love you, for all your shortcomings.
For all his wealth and fame, he’s a very lonely man.
For all your explanation, I understand no better than before.
For all his knowledge and experience, he is not conceited.
For all your persuasion, he will not change his mind.
■for all that 有兩個用法:
一是單獨使用,相當于in spite of this / that,意為“盡管如此”。如:
He says he is innocent, but I’m sure he’s guilty, for all that.
The soldiers were very tired but they continued their march for all that.
For all (that) he had worked hard, he failed.
For all he boasts so much. he does very little
For all that she has a good sense of balance, she can’t dance well.
For all that he can’t be admitted as a member of the club.
■For all its clarity of style, the book is not easy reading.
suitable reading for children
The large print makes for easy reading.
I enjoy a little light reading when I go away on holiday.
For all its clarity of style, the book is not easy reading.
