■also, too, all, both, always, usually, never, sure, certainly, possibly 等詞用于補充陳述或答話中單獨使用時，通常常放在助動詞或情態動詞之前。如：　　

I ought to have helped her, but I never could. 我本該幫助她的，卻從未能這樣做。　　

“Can you see it?” “Yes, we all can.” “你們能看見它嗎?”“是的，我我們都能看見。”　　

“Philip is late again.” “Yes, he always is.” “菲利普又遲到了。”“是的，他總是遲到。”　　

I have never visited 　Africa　 and probably never shall. 我從來沒有去過非洲，并很可能永遠不會去。　　

■但either（也）不同，它要位于句末。如：　　

“I haven’t paid.” “I haven’t either.” “我還沒有付錢。”“我也沒付呢。”　　

You can’t cook Chinese food and I can’t either.  你不會做中國菜，我也不會做中國菜。
