ask sb sth 是雙賓語嗎，還是復合賓語，還是什么都不是？

這兩個句子是不是省略了什么?是不是whatever you want to do,畢竟要加個do才能說得通啊，第二個句子中是不是應該改為what you want to do,應該是do sth呀，這是一種省略句還是什么其它的？

據說雙賓語有兩種形式如 make sb sth 和make sth for sb,tell sb sth 和tell sth to sb那么

ask sb sth可以改為什么呢？是ask sth to sb還是什么呢？

那么sb promise sb to do sth第二個sb和to do sth沒有什么邏輯上的主謂關系。其中的to do sth算賓補嗎？

promise既是名詞，也是動詞。作動詞用時，主要有如下幾個句式：

1. promise + that 從句 If you promise that you will do something, you say to someone that you will definitely do it.

2. promise sb. sth. （雙賓語）  If you promise someone something, you tell them that you will definitely give it to them or make sure that they have it

3. promise to do sth. If you promise to do something, you say to someone that you will definitely do it.

4. promise to do/be (主語表示“事物”時)，If a situation or event promises to have a particular quality or to be a particular thing, it shows signs that it will have that quality or be that thing.

promise 沒有復合賓語結構。你說的promise sb. to do sth. 屬于第2種情況，sb. 和to do sth.都是promise的賓語，to do sth.是主語的行為，不是賓語的行為，因此不是賓補。這個句式跟permit sb. to do sth.大相徑庭。
