sun, moon, sky等可數嗎

英語表示自然界某些獨一無于的事物（如sun, moon, sky等）通常不可數，一般不連用不定冠詞，而是習慣上連用定冠詞。如：

The sun rose above the sea. 太陽升出海面。

It is no longer a dream to fly to the moon. 飛往月球已不再是夢想了。

A balloon floated across the sky. 有個氣球從空中飄過。

但是，當它們受到描繪性形容詞的修飾時，如果不是特指，則其前要用不定冠詞，此時的a含有 a kind of 的意思。如：

A cloudy sky is not always a sign of rain. 陰天不一定是下雨的預兆)。

Day broke and a brilliant sun lit up the room. 天亮了，燦爛的陽光照亮了房間。

另外，當sun表示“星體”“恒星”時，它是可數的；當moon表示“衛(wèi)星”時，也是可數的。如：

There are many suns larger than ours. 有許多恒星比我們的太陽還要大。

Saturn has several moons. 土星有好幾個衛(wèi)星。
