You’ll catch it. 表示:你會(huì)挨罵的;你會(huì)挨揍的。如: If the teacher sees you doing that, you’ll catch it. 要是老師發(fā)現(xiàn)你這樣做,你會(huì)挨罵的。 You’ll catch it, when your father finds you’ve been trampling over the flower beds. 要是你父親發(fā)現(xiàn)你踩過花壇,你會(huì)挨揍的。 09. Come on. (1) 表示請(qǐng)求、鼓勵(lì)、勸說等,意為:來吧;行啦。如: Come on, Bill, you can tell me, I won’t tell anybody. 來吧,比爾,告訴我吧,我不會(huì)告訴別人的。 (2) 用來催促別人快走或快做,意為:快點(diǎn)。如: Come on, it’s getting dark. 快點(diǎn),天要黑了。 (3) 表示責(zé)備或不耐煩等,意為:得啦;行啦;夠啦。如: Come on, don’t sit there dreaming. 得啦,別坐在那兒空想了。 (4) 用于挑戰(zhàn)或激怒對(duì)方,意為:來吧;好吧;試試吧。如: Come on. I don’t think you can jump over it. Come on. 來吧,我才不信你能跳過去,你跳呀! (5) 用于體育競(jìng)賽等場(chǎng)合鼓勵(lì)隊(duì)員,意為:加油。如: “Come on! Come on!” shouted the audience again and again. “加油!加油!”觀點(diǎn)一再地喊。 10. It (all) depends. / That (all) depends. 表示某事或某情況還沒有決定,得看情況而定,意為:這很難說,那要看情況。如: A:Are you going to the dance this Saturday? 這周星期六你去跳舞嗎? B:It all depends. Are you going yourself? 到時(shí)候看情況而定,你去嗎? A:Do you always go on your holiday together with your sister? 你總是同你姐姐一起去度假嗎? B:It depends. If I have my holiday the same as she, then we go together. 那要看情況。要是我們正好同時(shí)休假,我們就一起去。 11. You may [can] depend on it. 表示肯定,意為:肯定無疑;保證沒錯(cuò);我敢肯定地說;你放心好了。如: He’ll win the match, you may depend on it. 他一定會(huì)贏了這場(chǎng)比賽的。 You may depend on it that they will support you. 他相信好了,他們會(huì)支持你的。 12. Well done. 表示滿意、贊揚(yáng)、祝賀等,意為:做得好;干得漂亮;祝賀你。如: A:He’s already cleared 1.68 metres. And now it’s his turn to jump again. Let’s watch for a while. 他已跳過了一米六八,現(xiàn)在又輪到他跳了,我們看一會(huì)兒吧。 B:All right. Well done! He’s cleared 1. 70 metres. 好呀,跳得漂亮,他跳過了一米七。 13. Take it [things] easy. (1) 用來提醒對(duì)方注意或小心,意為:注意;小心點(diǎn)! 如: “Take it easy,” said Jim to the other boys carrying the table down the stairs. 吉姆對(duì)抬桌子下樓的其他男孩們說“小心點(diǎn)”。 (2) 用來規(guī)勸對(duì)方要有耐心、不要操之過急,意為:別急;慢慢來。如: Take it easy; we’ve got plenty of time. 別急,我們有的是時(shí)間。 (3) 用來勸告對(duì)方保持平靜,不要慌張,意為:別慌;別緊張。如: Just take it easy and tell us exactly what happened. 別慌,告訴我們到底發(fā)生了什么事! (4) 表示輕松舒服地過日子,不太勞累或太辛苦,意為:輕松輕松;休息休息;別太勞累;過悠閑舒服的生活。如: Your blood pressure is still not normal. You’ll have to take things easy for a while. 你的血壓還不正常,一段時(shí)間內(nèi)不能太勞累。 14. Not exactly. (1) 表示輕微的否定,意為:不很……。如: We weren’t exactly driving fast. 我們當(dāng)時(shí)車開得不很快。 That’s not exactly what I had in mind. 我心里想的不完全是那樣。 (2) 用作回答,表示:不完全是;不完全如此;不全對(duì)。如: A:So you missed the meeting. 所以你就錯(cuò)過了這次會(huì)議? B:Not exactly. I got there five minutes before it finished. 不完全是這樣,我在散會(huì)前五分鐘趕到了那兒。 15. Excuse me. (1) 用來向不熟悉的人打聽情況或提出請(qǐng)求(其實(shí)質(zhì)用法是引人注意),意為:請(qǐng)問;勞駕;對(duì)不起。如: Excuse me, sir, will you tell me the way to the post office? 勞駕,你可以告訴我去郵局的路嗎? (2) 用來客氣地打斷別人的話,意為:對(duì)不起。如: Excuse me, what you said was wrong. 對(duì)不起,你說得不對(duì)。 (3) 用作從別人面前經(jīng)過時(shí)的禮貌用語(yǔ),意為:勞駕;對(duì)不起。如: He pushed his way through the crowd, saying “Excuse me”. 他一邊說著“對(duì)不起”,一邊從人群中擠過。 (4) 表示中途退席或暫時(shí)告退,意為:對(duì)不起。如: Excuse me, I must just see who’s calling. 對(duì)不起,我得去看看是誰(shuí)打電話來。 (5) 表示不同意或不贊成(其后常接用 but 表轉(zhuǎn)折),意為:對(duì)不起。如: Excuse me, sir, but you can’t park here. 先生,對(duì)不起,你不能在此停車。 (6) 表示事先對(duì)自己不禮貌的行為道歉,意為:對(duì)不起。如: Excuse me for not going to the door with you. 對(duì)不起,我不送你到門口了。 (7) 表示有禮貌地詢問某事或請(qǐng)求允許,意為:請(qǐng)問;對(duì)不起。如: Excuse me, but can I smoke here? 對(duì)不起,我可以在這里抽煙嗎?
