■《張道真英語語法》認為：“be+形容詞”這類結構后常可跟從句，在概念上有時接近賓語，但在結構上接近狀語：

We are sure (=know for sure) that we shall succeed. 我們有把握會成功。

We are confident (=believe) we can overcome these difficulties. 我們有信心克服這些困難。

有人認為that從句是狀語從句。如：

I’m glad you like it.

= I’m glad because you like it.

也有人認為是同位語從句。如：

I’m amazed that you should have arrived so early.

= I’m amazed at the fact that you should have arrived so early.

也有人認為是賓語從句。如：

I’m afraid thatg she can’t succeed in her plans.
