understand 的常用句式搭配

1. 表示“明白”、“理解”，其后可接動(dòng)名詞(可帶邏輯主語(yǔ))，但通常不接不定式。如：

那樣對(duì)待孩子，我不能理解。

正：I can’t understand treating children like that.

誤：I can’t understand to treat children like that.

有時(shí)可接從句。比較：

2. 表示“聽(tīng)說(shuō)”、“得知”、“推斷”等，可接不定式的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)或從句等。比較：

我聽(tīng)說(shuō)他在巴黎。

正：I understand him to be in Paris.

正：I understand that he is in Paris.

我認(rèn)為他愿意來(lái)。

正：I understand him to say that he would come.

注：在簡(jiǎn)略回答中可用 so 代替前面已出現(xiàn)的 that 從句。如：

A：They are going to get married. 他們要結(jié)婚了。

B: I understand so. / So I understand. 聽(tīng)說(shuō)如此。

3. 用于 make oneself understood, 意為“清楚地表達(dá)自己的意思”，注意這里必須用反身代詞，同時(shí) understand 要用過(guò)去分詞形式，而不能用原形。如：

I can’t make myself understood in English. 我不能用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)自己的意思。
