catch it的意思與用法

口語中說catch it，意思是“受罰”“挨罵”，相當(dāng)于be punished or scolded。如：

If I come home late, I’ll catch it from my mother. 如果我回家晚了，我媽媽會(huì)罵我。

If your father finds you here, you’ll really catch it! 要是你父親知道你在這里，你非挨罵不可!

If the teacher sees you doing that, you’ll catch it. 要是老師發(fā)現(xiàn)你這樣做，你會(huì)挨罵的。

If your dad finds out you’ll really catch it! 要是你老爸知道了，你肯定要挨剋！

另外，有時(shí)還可表示“被打中”。如：

He caught it right in the eye. 她的眼睛被打個(gè)正著。

注：catch it主要用于英國英語中，在美國英語中多用catch hell或get it。
