       She will marry as wealthy a man as she can find. 她將嫁給她能找到的任何一個(gè)有錢人。

Set Phrase

1.    as against phr. prep. in comparison with與...相比

       There are 25 girl students in our class as against only 5 in Class Two. 我們班有25名女學(xué)生，而二班只有5名。

2.    as and when phr. adv. 可能時(shí)；conj. 到...時(shí)候

       I'll tell you more as and when (= as soon as I can). 我一有可能就會(huì)告訴你更多情況。

       We'll decide on our team as and when we qualify foe the competition. 我們等到有資格參賽時(shí)，再來(lái)決定本隊(duì)參賽人員。

3.    as for phr. prep. with regard to; concerning (用于引入新話題) 關(guān)于，至于，說(shuō)起

4.    as from phr. prep. 從...時(shí)起(=as of) ；來(lái)自；因...而起

       The new law takes effect as from [=as of] July 1. 新法律從七月一日起生效。

       He is pasting a clipping, as from a newspaper. 他在粘貼一份剪報(bào)。

       He has sore feet, as from too much walking. 他因走了太多的路而走痛了腳。

5.    as if/as though phr. conj. 好像，仿佛引導(dǎo)表語(yǔ)從句/方式狀語(yǔ)從句

       It looks as if it is going to rain. 看來(lái)要下雨了。

       He looks as if he had seen a ghost. 他像見(jiàn)了鬼似的。

       He opened his lips as if to say something. 他張開(kāi)嘴似乎要說(shuō)些什么.

       She ran as if the Old Boy were after her. 她跑得飛快好像魔鬼在追她似的。

       -He'll never come back, you know! 你知道他永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)回來(lái)了。

        -As if I cared!” [=I don't care] 好像我多在乎似的(我不在乎)。

6.    as is in the present condition without any changes 照現(xiàn)在的樣子

       Everything on sale here is sold as is. 這里出售的東西是按標(biāo)價(jià)出售的。

7.    as it is

a.    in reality 事實(shí)上

       As it is, we can hardly get to the station by 6 o’clock. 事實(shí)上，我們六點(diǎn)鐘前很難到達(dá)車站。

b.    in the present condition 照現(xiàn)狀

       Let it remain as it is.聽(tīng)其自然吧。

c.    already已經(jīng)

       Don’t say anything else; you are in enough trouble as it is. 不要再說(shuō)了，你現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)夠麻煩的了。

8.    as it were as one might say; in a way that is not quite exact 可以說(shuō)；在某種程度上
