       She will marry as wealthy a man as she can find. 她將嫁給她能找到的任何一個有錢人。

       There is so warm a house as we want to live in. 這里有如此暖和的房子，我們都想住在里面。

       He is not such a fool as he looks. 他不像外表那樣愚蠢。

       He is not the same man as he was. 他已不是從前那個人了。

Set Phrase

1.    as against phr. prep. in comparison with與...相比

       There are 25 girl students in our class as against only 5 in Class Two. 我們班有25名女學(xué)生，而二班只有5名。

2.    as and when phr. adv. 可能時；conj. 到...時候

       I'll tell you more as and when (= as soon as I can). 我一有可能就會告訴你更多情況。

       We'll decide on our team as and when we qualify foe the competition. 我們等到有資格參賽時，再來決定本隊參賽人員。

3.    as for phr. prep. with regard to; concerning (用于引入新話題) 關(guān)于，至于，說起

5.    as if/as though phr. conj. 好像，仿佛引導(dǎo)表語從句/方式狀語從句

       It looks as if it is going to rain. 看來要下雨了。

       He looks as if he had seen a ghost. 他像見了鬼似的。

       He opened his lips as if to say something. 他張開嘴似乎要說些什么.

       She ran as if the Old Boy were after her. 她跑得飛快好像魔鬼在追她似的。

       -He'll never come back, you know! 你知道他永遠(yuǎn)不會回來了。

        -As if I cared!” [=I don't care] 好像我多在乎似的(我不在乎)。

7.    as it is

a.    in reality 事實(shí)上

       As it is, we can hardly get to the station by 6 o’clock. 事實(shí)上，我們六點(diǎn)鐘前很難到達(dá)車站。

b.    in the present condition 照現(xiàn)狀

       Let it remain as it is.聽其自然吧。

c.    already已經(jīng)

       Don’t say anything else; you are in enough trouble as it is. 不要再說了，你現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)夠麻煩的了。

8.    as it were as one might say; in a way that is not quite exact 可以說；在某種程度上

       She is, as it were, a walking dictionary. 她可以說是一部活字典。
