2. 關(guān)于other與others：other和others均表示不確指意義，其中other后可以修飾名詞，而others后不能再接名詞，兩者的關(guān)系可描述為：others=other+復(fù)數(shù)名詞。如：

He never thinks of others. 他從來不為別人著想。

I don’t like these books. Show me some others. 我不喜歡這些書，再拿一些給我看。

3. 當(dāng)要談?wù)搩烧咧械?/SPAN>“一個”和“另一個”時，英語習(xí)慣上用one…the other…這樣的形式。如：

What I say goes in at one ear and out at the other. 我說話他是一只耳朵進(jìn)，另一只耳朵出。

4. 表示“一些……其他一些……”時，英語習(xí)慣上用some...the others。如：

The search party was divided into two groups. Some went to the right, the others went to the left. 搜尋小組一分為二，一部分向右，另一部分人向左。

注意它與some…others不同，該搭配表示“有的……有的……”。如：

Some people build while others destroy. 有些人建設(shè)而另一些人則破壞。

【分析】答案選C。因為“問題”只能被人回答，故第一空應(yīng)填空被動語態(tài)，可排除B和D；指不確定的另外一個，用anther，不用other，故選C。

【考例2】My sister has two skirts. One is yellow, ________ is black. (北京中考題)

A. other                 B. another             C. others               D. the other

【分析】答案選D。特指兩者中的另一者，要用the other。

【考例3】“Have ________ try, you are so close to the answer,” the teacher said to Eric. (上海)

A. the other          B. one another     C. other                 D. another

【分析】答案選D。another在此表示“再一”“另一”。句意為：再試一次，你離答案很近了。

考點10  考查little, a little, few, a few的用法區(qū)別

1. 關(guān)于few與a few：從用法上看，few和a few后面要接可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式；從意義上看，few 用來強調(diào)小數(shù)目的否定意義，相當(dāng)于說“很少”或“幾乎沒有”，它的含義是該數(shù)目令人失望或令人吃驚的小。如：

Few people like snakes. 很少有人喜歡蛇。

I know few of them. 他們當(dāng)中我?guī)缀醪徽J(rèn)識什么人。

a few與few意思不同，它沒有否定含義，表示“有幾個”，有時甚至表示“一些”。如：

After a few tries they gave up. 試過幾次之后他們就放棄了。

2. little與a little：little與a little的區(qū)別跟few與a few的區(qū)別相似，little表示否定意義，表示數(shù)量“很少”或“幾乎沒有”；而a little則表示肯定意義，表示量雖不多，但畢竟還是有一點。如：

I have little interest in drawing. 我對畫畫沒什么興趣。

The room attendant speaks a little English. 客房服務(wù)員講一點英語。

與few和a few不同的是，few和a few后面總是要接可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式，而不定代詞little和a little后面只能接不可數(shù)名詞。
