考點4  考查有關請求的交際用語及回答

英語中表示請求的交際用語很多，使用時注意以下兩點：

1. 提出請求的常用表達：

Can [could] you stay a little longer? 你能多呆些時候嗎?

Will [Would] you please come over? 請你過來好嗎?

Could I borrow your bicycle? 我可以借你的自行車嗎?

Will [Would] you do me a favour? 請幫個忙好嗎?

May I have a word with you? 可以和你說句話嗎?

Do [Would] you mind my smoking here? 我在這兒抽煙行嗎?

Do [Would] you mind if I sit here? 我坐這兒可以嗎?

May I ask a favour of you? 能請你邦個忙嗎?

May I trouble you to shut the door? 勞駕把門關上好嗎?

Could you possibly explain that again? 請你再解釋一下好嗎?

Do you think I could take this one? 你認為我可以拿這個嗎?

I wonder if I could use your bike? 我用你的自行車行嗎?

I wonder if you could help me with it? 不知能否幫我一下?

Is it all right if I open the window? 我打開窗戶好嗎?

Pass the dictionary, will you? 請把字典遞過來好嗎?

2. 對請求的回答：

若是肯定回答，可用：

Sure. 當然可以。

Surely. 當然可以。

Certainly. 當然可以。

Of course. 當然可以。

All right. 好的。

With please. 非常愿意。

I’ll be glad to. 非常愿意。

Yes. Go ahead. 請自便。

若是否定回答，則可用：

No, I’m afraid you can’t. 不，恐怕你不能。

No, I’m afraid I can’t. 不，恐怕我不能。

I’m sorry, but you can’t. 對不起，你不能。

Well, I’d like to, but. . . . 我倒很愿意，但……

【考例1】—Would you please lend me your bike?

—________. (湖北武漢中考題)

A. Sure                 B. No, thanks       C. Never mind      D. It was a pleasure

【分析】答案選A。Would you please…是用于表示請求的句子，其意為“請你……好嗎”，在四個選項中，只有sure可以回答請求，其意為“當然可以”。

【考例2】—Can you stay here longer?

—________. But I have to be back tomorrow. (湖北孝感中考題)

A. I’d love to         B. I’m afraid not  C. I’m sorry, I can’t  D. No, thank you

【分析】答案選A。Can you stay here longer的意思是“你可以待久一點嗎”，用于來請求對方，很I’d love to（我很樂意）最符合對話情景。
