說明：由于“他們出售的那種新的粗塑料繩”也是“你能買到的”塑料繩之一，所以為了避免邏輯混亂，應(yīng)在 any 后加上 other。又如：He swims faster than any other student in his class. 他比班上的其他任何學(xué)生都游得快。Swallows fly faster than any other bird. 燕子飛得比其他鳥要快。

句意：他們出售的那種新的粗塑料繩比你能買到的都結(jié)實。

誤用：The more I thought about it, the more I became confused.

改為：The more I thought about it, the more confused I became.

說明：由于 the more 是修飾 confused 的，所以應(yīng)將 the more 直接置于 confused 之前。類似地：The more things a man is ashamed of the more respectable he is. 一個人引以為恥的事情越多，就越可尊敬。The more learned a man is, the more modest he usually is. 越是有學(xué)問的人，通常越謙虛。

句意：我對此考慮得愈多，就愈感到迷惑不解。
