(4) disgrace 丟臉;恥辱 It is a disgrace that Government Departments are not subjected to the same scrutiny and punishments. (5) mistake 錯誤 He said actually that it was a mistake that he plead guilty. (6) misfortune 厄運;不幸事故;災(zāi)難 Is it a misfortune that 13 Catholic churches will have to close in (7) outrage 憤慨;震怒 It is an outrage that our president threatens to gamble with our only source of reliable income. (8) pity 可惜;遺憾 It is indeed a pity that these should have passed into the hands of a speculator. (9) scandal 丑聞;丑事 But it’s a scandal that the U.N. properly is now trying to investigate.
