■該書第67頁(yè)上有這樣一句：

This concerns everyone of us. 這關(guān)系到我們每個(gè)人。

■我們認(rèn)為，其中的 everyone  應(yīng)分開寫成 every one，因?yàn)榘从⒄Z(yǔ)習(xí)慣，復(fù)合不定代詞everyone 后面不能接表示整體與部分關(guān)系的 of  短語(yǔ)。如著名語(yǔ)言學(xué)家 L. G. 亞歷山大在其《英語(yǔ)詞匯用法手冊(cè)》(Right Word Wrong Word)就指出下面這個(gè)句子中的Every one不能合寫成Everyone：

Every one of their children did well at school. 他們的每個(gè)孩子在學(xué)校都學(xué)習(xí)很不錯(cuò)。(不能用 Everyone of…)
