這個句末介詞不能省略

請看下面的題目：

It is too small a room for us __________.

A. to live               B. to live in            C. living                D. living in

此題應(yīng)選B。從結(jié)構(gòu)上看，句子前部的too small...應(yīng)連用一個不定式，所以選項C，D不宜選擇。至于為什么要選B 而不選A，這是因為有些用作后置定語的不定式與它所修飾的名詞有動賓關(guān)系，此時若不定式是不及物動詞，則應(yīng)在其后加上適當(dāng)?shù)慕樵~。如：

He has no pens to write with. 他沒有鋼筆寫字。

Give me a chair to sit on. 給我一把椅子坐。

He has a lot of things to attend to. 他有許多事要管。

I’ve to find a large bag to put these things in. 我得找一個大袋子來裝這些東西。

The child has no toys to play with. 這小孩沒有玩具玩。

He is a very nice person to work with. 他是個很好共事的人。

There is nothing (for us) to worry about. 沒什么值得發(fā)愁的。

Please give me some paper to write on. 請給我一些紙來寫字。

有時句子主語與其后的不定式有動賓關(guān)系，若不定式是不及物動詞，同樣要考慮加適當(dāng)?shù)慕樵~。如：

The room is too small for us to live in. 這房間太小，我們住不下。
