23. password

password 的意思是“口令”“密碼”。如：

The password may be up to 12 characters long. 密碼可以長至12個(gè)字符。

PC users should log on to the network by entering their user name and password. 個(gè)人計(jì)算機(jī)用戶應(yīng)輸入用戶名和密碼進(jìn)入計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)。

24. printer

printer 的意思是“打印機(jī)”。如：

You’ve connected the printer cake wrongly. 你把打印機(jī)的電纜接錯(cuò)了。

He prints a letter on his computer’s printer. 他在電腦的打印機(jī)上打印了一封信。

注意printer與typewriter不同，后者的意思是“打字機(jī)”。

25. program

program 本指“節(jié)目”“計(jì)劃”“節(jié)目單”等，在計(jì)算機(jī)語言中指“程序”。如：

She showed them her new computer programs. 她向他們展示了自己的新電腦程序。

Close down all programs that are running before you install the software. 安裝這個(gè)軟件之前，先關(guān)閉所有運(yùn)行中的程序。

26. reboot

27. save

save 本指“挽救”“節(jié)省”等，在計(jì)算機(jī)語言中指“保存”。如：

software 的意思是“軟件”，與“硬件”相對(duì)。如：

The computer comes complete with software and games. 買這種電腦送完整的軟件和游戲。

29. system 系統(tǒng)

system 本指一般意義的“系統(tǒng)”“體系”“制度”等，在計(jì)算機(jī)語言中指“計(jì)算機(jī)系統(tǒng)”。如：

The big advantage of this system is that it is fast. 該系統(tǒng)的最大優(yōu)勢(shì)就是速度快。

The system keeps crashing—I’ve lost all my files. 系統(tǒng)不斷出故障，我所有的文件都丟失了。

I’d like see the new computer system in action. 我想看看這個(gè)新的計(jì)算機(jī)系統(tǒng)的運(yùn)行情況。
