四、因表達句式錯誤而丟分

造成表達句式錯誤的原因很多，其中最要注意的是受漢語意思或漢語結構的影響而用錯英語句式。如：

◆這個問題對我來說很容易回答。

誤：I am easy to answer the question.

正：It is easy for me to answer the question.

說明：漢語可說某人容易做某事，但英語在“be easy +不定式”這類句式中，句子主語通常應是it(實為形式主語)，而不能是指人或物的名詞。同樣的道理，要表示某人很難做某事，不能說sb is difficult to do sth，而要說 It’s difficult for sb to do sth。

◆在警察的幫助下，我找回了我失去的東西。

誤：After the help of the police, I got back what I had lost.

正：With the help of the police, I got back what I had lost.

說明：漢語說“在某人的幫助下”，但英語用 with the help of sb表示，注意不要按漢語習慣用介詞 after。

◆她設法對老師隱瞞事實真相。

誤：She tried to hide the truth to her teacher.

正：She tried to hide the truth from her teacher.

說明：漢語“對某人隱瞞”或“向某人隱瞞”等，用“對”或“向”這樣的介詞，但英語不能用介詞 to 來直譯。因為“對某人隱瞞”，其實就是免于讓人知道，所以英語用介詞 from。

五、因成分殘缺丟分

造成句子成分殘缺的原因也很多，可能是受漢語意思的影響，可能是弄錯了相關詞匯的詞性，也可能是沒弄清英語的表達習慣，等等。如：

◆別怕，我們會保護你的。

誤：Don’t afraid, and we’ll protect you.

正：Don’t be afraid, and we’ll protect you.

說明：afraid 是形容詞，不是動詞，所以應在don’t 后面加上系動詞be。

◆這些花是如此漂亮，以致于我想摘幾朵。

誤：Those flowers so beautiful that I want to pick up some.

正：Those flowers are so beautiful that I want to pick up some.

說明：句中的 that 引導的是結果狀語從句，前面部分為句子主句，但是該主句沒謂語動詞，故應在flowers后加動詞are。

◆這是一本很有用的英語詞典，我想你會喜歡的。

誤：This is a very useful English dictionary, and I think you will like.

正：This is a very useful English dictionary, and I think you will like it.

說明：根據句意可知，“你會喜歡的”，其實是指“你會喜歡它（指這本詞典）的”。在漢語中，這個用作賓語的“它”可以省略，但在英語中，動詞like 是及物動詞，其后必須要有賓語，所以后面的it不能省略。
