not either還是either not

英語是該說not either還是either not呢？

根據英語習慣，either只能出現在否定詞之后，不能出現在否定詞之前，所以我們習慣是說not either而不是either not。如：

I don’t know either of them. 他們倆我一個也不認識。

You can’t have either of them. 兩個中你哪個也不能拿。

I haven’t read either of these books. 這兩本書我都沒看過。

比較下面的正誤句，誤句就是因為誤用了either…not結構：

這兩臺電腦都不便宜。

誤：Either of the two computers is not cheap.

正：Neither of the two computers is cheap.
