When you are cooking it’s best to clear up as you go, instead of leaving everything to the end and having a terrible pile of things to deal. 正確:When you are cooking it’s best to clear up as you go, instead of leaving everything to the end and having a terrible pile of things to deal with. How shall we deal with this matter? 這事我們?cè)趺刺幚恚?/FONT>I don’t know how to deal with him. Undeniably, political stability and human progress in the country depend greater economic success. 正確:Undeniably, political stability and human progress in the country depend on greater economic success. Whether we’ll go camping depends on the weather. I haven’t got a car, so I have to depend on the buses. Children depend on their parents for food and clothing. He took a cup of tea, and went on the story. 正確:He took a cup of tea, and went on with the story. 說明:表示“繼續(xù)做某事”,英語可用 go on with sth,注意其中的 with 不可省略。又如:Go on with the treatment. It is doing you good. The subject having been opened, he had to go on with it. Sixty years ago Melville was almost forgotten;today he is regarded one of America’s great authors. 正確:Sixty years ago Melville was almost forgotten;today he is regarded as one of America’s great authors. He is regarded as the best doctor in town. She regarded him as without principles. He insisted going back to his work rather than stay in hospital. 正確:He insisted on going back to his work rather than stay in hospital. Since you insist on it, I will consider the matter again. |
