注：不要誤認為 guider 是 guide 的名詞形式，誤用其表示“導游”或“向導”。在現代英語中已不存在 guider 這個詞。

◆habit n.

1. 表示做某事的習慣，其后通常要接 of doing sth, 而不接不定式。如：

他有個令人討厭吃飯時抽煙的習慣。

誤：He has the annoying habit to smoke during meals.

正：He has the annoying habit of smoking during meals.

注：下句情況不同(其中的不定式是主語，it 為形式主語)：

It is her habit to go for a walk after supper. 晚飯后散步是她的習慣。
