(p. 109)（注：no后既可以接單數(shù)名詞也可以接復(fù)數(shù)名詞，但謂語(yǔ)形式不一樣。there is no rules to follow有兩種改法：there is no rule to follow或there are no rules to follow。而且，全句應(yīng)使用適當(dāng)標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號(hào)加以分開。建議全句改為：As mentioned above, the principle in Chinese sentence building is based on amalgamation, but it does not mean there is no rule to follow.）

（二）非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞形式問題

漢語(yǔ)中動(dòng)詞有連動(dòng)式或兼動(dòng)式的用法，但英語(yǔ)中，一個(gè)句子只能有一個(gè)謂語(yǔ)或并列謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞，其它動(dòng)詞應(yīng)采用非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞形式，如不定式或分詞結(jié)構(gòu)。以下句子就存在這方面的問題。

【問題分析】本句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞為contribute，動(dòng)詞make部分內(nèi)容在本句中起補(bǔ)充說(shuō)明作用，因此應(yīng)改為現(xiàn)在分詞結(jié)構(gòu)，即making。
