此題應選D。其余幾項均可能被誤選。有關indeed 的用法要注意；

1. 表示同意, 意為“的確”、“確實”, 多用來強調或確認前面或對方說過的話, 且一般用于簡短答語中：

A：It’s cold. 天很冷。

B：It is indeed. 的確很冷。

A：Did you hear the explosion? 你聽到爆炸聲了嗎?

B：Indeed I did. 確實聽到了。

2. 用來加強形容詞或副詞(一般應有very修飾)的語氣, 可譯為“實在”、“確實”：

The results are very good indeed. 結果真是很好。

She sang very well indeed. 她唱得確實很好。

注意, 此時修飾形容詞或副詞的very一般不能少：

實在感謝不盡。

正：Thank you very much indeed.

誤：Thank you indeed.

他的確講得很清楚。

正：She spoke very clearly indeed.

誤：She spoke clearly indeed.

3. 通常不用于疑問句中, 也不用于說明想法或期望的句子中：

誤：Is he very angry indeed?　

誤：I wonder if he is sad indeed.

19. 可說 hope sb to do sth 嗎

此題應選D。容易誤選A。按漢語習慣, 人們常說“希望某人做某事”, 但按英語的習慣卻不同：可說 wish sb to dosth, 但不可說 hope sb to do sth。如：

我希望你能幫助我。

正：I wish you to help me.

誤：I hope you to help me.

正：I hope you help me. (hope 后接的是賓語從句)

類似地, 以下各句從漢語來看, 均屬于“動詞＋某人＋做某事”這一句型, 但英語習慣上卻不用“V＋sb＋to do sth”來表達, 大家要特別注意：

他拒絕我去。

正：He refused to let me go.

誤：He refused me to go.

他同意我馬上離開。

正：He agreed to let me leave at once.

誤：He agreed me to leave at once.

我建議他讀讀這本書。

正：I suggest that he (should) read the book.

誤：I suggest him to read the book.

我建議他同我們一起去。

正：I propose that he (should) go with us.
