      (4) extraordinary 異乎尋常的;令人驚奇的

      It seems extraordinary to me that more guidance isn’t given to working mothers nowadays.

      (5) fascinating 有極大吸引力的;迷人的

      It’s fascinating to me that not many people know that I’m doing it.

      (6) incomprehensible 難懂的;不可理解的

      And it’s incomprehensible to me that you can learn piano without taking lessons.

      (7) inconceivable 難以置信的;不可思議的

      (8) incredible 不可相信的;難以置信的

      It was incredible to me that he had worried that this package hadn’t come.

      5.2.2“It+v-link+名詞+ that從句  

      5.2.2.1 “It+v-link+限定詞+名詞+ that從句that有時可以省略。 

      1. THE “PITY” GROUP

      These nouns indicate that someone thinks of a situation as being bad or shocking in some way.

      (1) crime 罪過;罪

      It is a crime that they’re forcing the doctors out of here.

      (2) disappointment 失望;沮喪

      So you see, it is a disappointment that your mother could not come.

      (3) disaster 災難;不幸

      It’s a disaster that some Arab leaders manipulated their own people to show in the media some support for Saddam Hussein.

      (4) disgrace 丟臉;恥辱

      It is a disgrace that Government Departments are not subjected to the same scrutiny and punishments.

      (5) mistake 錯誤

      He said actually that it was a mistake that he plead guilty.

      (6) misfortune 厄運;不幸事故;災難

      Is it a misfortune that 13 Catholic churches will have to close in San Francisco?

      (7) outrage 憤慨;震怒

      It is an outrage that our president threatens to gamble with our only source of reliable income.

      (8) pity 可惜;遺憾

      It is indeed a pity that these should have passed into the hands of a speculator.

      (9) scandal 丑聞;丑事

      But it’s a scandal that the U.N. properly is now trying to investigate.

      (10) shame 真遺憾;多可惜

      It’s a shame that the lawbreakers in Florida are being mistreated by other greedy lawbreakers.

      (11) shock 令人震驚的事

      Even with his lapses it was a shock that on Thanksgiving weekend David had walked from the Stanford campus through the arch of eucalyptus trees to the bus terminal and vanished.

      (12) tragedy 不幸;遺憾

      It’s a tragedy that this happened.

      (13) travesty 曲解;嘲弄

      It is a travesty that some 37 million Americana have no health insurance.

      (14) worry 擔心;憂慮

      It was a worry that Carla Hawkins had not brought her husband to see the house at least once though.

      注:nonsense 無聊事物;沒有價值的東西解,通常不用限定詞:It is nonsense that a habit everyone knows kills people is still permitted in hospitals where the victims of smoking are treated.
